Why "2 Acres of Grass?"

Along with a new house, Roger and I now have a 2 acre yard, and the concept still kind of freaks me out. Although we like gardening, I'm not sure we're up to maintaining 2 acres or mostly lawn. I'm hoping that we will eventually transform the land into something a little more environmentally friendly (and lower maintenance) by replacing much of the lawn with things like shrubs, trees, ornamental grasses, and wildflowers.

Roger and I do love watching all of the birds and critters that come to visit!
