It is with great sadness that I learned that my mother's cat Tom had to be put to sleep yesterday. He was an exceptionally sociable gentleman ready to greet and "chat" with every visitor, no matter who. Full of energy and playfulness, he kept my mother laughing and smiling and on her toes well into his senior years. He was a great companion, and I know she will miss him terribly, as will I. Farewell sweet guy.
